  During our romantic getaway, my boyfriend and I had breakfast there for two mornings. Awesome food, highly recommend the pancakes with their homemade blueberry jam! My guy had the eggs, ham, bacon and sausage breakfast with cretons, fruit and fried potatoes. We ordered the same thing both times, deciding to trade with each other for the second time (I traded a pancake for some of his sausages and fried potatoes). Great place, very friendly service!

  A lovely respite for English speakers. This was our first trip to Quebec, and we were sadly disappointed with the way we were treated by many local service establishments. Whenever we explained, very apologetically in broken French that we don't speak French, the level of service would decrease to nearly self-serve. That is, until we found Restaurant Lorraine. I ordered delivery because we just didn't feel up to the frustration of eating out, and a man answered the phone. He was very understanding of my language issues and helped me to order what it was we wanted. The food arrived fine and he got the order correct even though I had a thick accent which didn't help the language barrier. Based on that experience, we decided to venture out the next day and try to dine in. We were greeted immediately, and while the woman working seemed a little hesitant when it became clear we weren't locals, she quickly warmed up to us once she realized we weren't rude people. She made great recommendations and was very kind to us. The food was tasty, and I'm sure tasted even better to us because of the relief of not being abandoned. We didn't eat anywhere else the rest of the week. I only wish we would have found them sooner. Thank you, sincerely, for taking mercy on us!

  Good food at good prices ! Not gancy decor, but good place to enjoy a meal. The owner/gentleman that served us was very nice.
